Hello all!
I just finished reading Mike Eisner's book "CAMP" about his experiences at Keewaydin and I got completely absorbed in his story of Keewaydin and I was pleased at how similar our camping experiences were. When he talked about leaving his eldest son for the first time at the camp, I had to ask my mother if she had a similar experience and her's was identical to Mike's wife's (she cried). What a wonderful gift to be able to go back in time to what were clearly the best days of my childhood. Thanks, Mike, for sharing the memories. Now I know I will have to make it back to Lake Dunmore for a chance to relive some of those fond memories firsthand. Best regards from Massachusetts, Jay Burnham Hamilton, MA 1959-1964 |
